Abstract
Description
This blog was written by participants in the 'Embracing Changes Outdoors for Children Under 3 Community of Research and Practice' (or ECO-3), a pilot research project designed to explore how community-based action research works to empower urban-based early childhood educators to reflect on and improve their outdoor play and learning provision with babies and toddlers. The blog describes their experience of the ECO-3 process and the impact it had on their thinking and practice. Writing this blog together was part of the ECO-3 participants' commitment to share learning with peer early childhood educators in Ireland, as well as with of teacher educators, researchers, local and national policy makers and parents of young children. A report of the evaluation research will be published separately.
